Scott Sports is pleased to announce the signing of two new athletes to its roster of sponsored triathletes. Canadian short-course phenom Paula Findlay joined Scott in January, and countrywoman Angela Naeth signed on to race Scott bicycles in February. These talented multisport athletes join Scott USA’s existing roster, which includes Luke McKenzie and his wife Beth Gerdes, Jodie Swallow, Annabel Luxford, and Sarah Groff.

“Paula and Angela add even more depth to our presence in triathlon,” said Nic Sims, Scott Sports USA Marketing Director. “As a multi-divisional brand, the sport of triathlon is clearly important to us. We’re excited to extend our visibility in both long- and short-course racing, especially with Angela breaking into the Ironman distance and Paula coming back strongly, looking toward the 2016 Olympics,” added Sims.

“I’m tremendously excited to be riding Scott bikes this year and proud to be amongst an amazing team of athletes” Findlay said. Paula Findlay comes into the 2015 season after a promising return to form in late 2014, following two years badgered with injury. With a new coach and recovering form, she finished a strong 2nd at the Cartegna ITU World cup in October and 2nd in the Subaru Noosa Triathlon in November.

“I’ve been riding the Addict for a month now, and it has already proven to be a comfortable, responsive, smooth and ridiculously fast bike. In races where every second counts, riding the best bike in the industry is a huge and important advantage. I can’t wait to start racing on it!” Findlay added.

Continued progress in the upcoming season could see the 25-year-old ITU specialist joining the Canadian Olympic team in 2016.

Canadian by birth and known as a strong cyclist, Angela Naeth now lives and trains outside of Las Vegas, NV. After excelling for years in 70.3 events, including 3 wins last season, she broke into the Ironman distance with a victory in the October 2014 Ironman Chattanooga. Now poised for the 2015 Ironman World Championships after competing only 3 times in the full distance, Angela clearly has a bright future.

“We’re excited to have Paula and Angela join our talented team,” said Nic Sims, Scott Sports USA Marketing Director. “With Paula and Sarah, in a few years, we could have two ITU Olympians. With Luke, Jodie, Bella, and Angela, our mid- and long-course results should be super strong as well,” concluded Sims.
