Hall of Fame triathlete and two-time Ironman World Champion Scott Tinley is bringing one of California’s premier triathlon weekends to China Peak Mountain Resort September 8-10th. This idyllic location is located on Huntington Lake in the middle Sierra Range, 60 miles east of Fresno in Lakeshore, CA.

“I’ve known China Peak owner, Tim Cohee as a triathlete and friend for nearly thirty-years and his resort is the ideal location to host our iconic series of historic events,” said Tinley. “This event will quickly become one of the most popular in California.”
Scott Tinley’s Triathlons are the longest running off-road triathlons in the world. Spending the past twenty-two years at Lake Lopez near San Luis Obispo, California, Terry Davis of TriCalifornia, co-owner and producer of the events along with Tinley, have decided to relocate this marquis triathlon weekend to the Central Sierra where the China Peak/Huntington Lake area offers a fantastic race venue for both road and mountain bike triathlon enthusiasts.
The Scott Tinley Triathlons will not only feature mountain and road bike triathlons but a kid’s race as well as both mountain and road bike hill climbs. Athletes will have the opportunity to race alongside Scott Tinley, the race legend himself.   On site hotel, camping, and nearby cabin rental is available at China Peak and nearby Shaver Lake at www.skichinapeak.com.
