Reviewed: Ignite Naturals INRefresh Electrolyte Drink
30 Servings Available for $28.95August 13, 2013
While the thought of consuming something in the flavor of “Prickly Pear” is a tad off-putting, if you’re drinking a dietary supplement that is meant to restore your electrolytes, maybe taking a hint from a cactus isn’t a bad thing at all.
Prickly Pear is just one of four different flavors from Ignite Naturals’ IN Refresh Electrolytes products, the others being Tangerine Passion Fruit, Dragonfruit Lemon Lime, and Blueberry. Prickly Pear is described as “The Unsweetened One”, and after taking a sip of it, I can agree with the labeling. The taste is vaguely chalky (as most powder supplements are) but still light, not overpoweringly sweet, yet not completely dull. I can imagine myself drinking my 6-8 ounces of water with one scoop of IN Refresh after my workouts without complaint.
The perk of this electrolyte supplement is that it “provides your body with natural fast-absorbing hydration properties from plants while retaining their full nutritional benefits,” according to Ignite. Another perk is that all four flavors are a mere five calories or less per serving, so you don’t have to worry about working a serving of IN Refresh into your daily caloric intake. And to top it all off, the product is 100% plant based, vegan, free of genetically modified organisms, and gluten free.
The product comes in a container with 30-servings, and at $28.95 an order, you’re looking at less than a dollar a day to get your fill of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. With 72 different minerals, IN Refresh aims to enhance your absorption speed, creating superior hydration for your body. With cost and taste in mind, I’d say that’s quite the bargain.
Essentially, you can drink something that tastes like a cactus, and your body will absorb water like a cactus. What more could you ask for from an electrolyte supplement?
