As someone who generally aims to stay on the healthy track of life, snacking becomes a sore subject when the angel on my shoulder is adding up the calorie content of my day’s food intake and the devil has his eye on the pantry. But sometimes a girl just needs a little chocolate in her life, you know?
Luckily, it seems as though Barnana has found a way to pack every quality a health-nut could want in a snack food into one neat, green and yellow package. These banana bites are GMO free, gluten free, organic, kosher, and vegetarian. And if that leaves anything to be desired, they’re also covered in chocolate. Barnana’s Chocolate Banana Bites are a pretty good way to get your fix without breaking your calorie bank (or the actual bank, seeing as you can purchase a three pack for $14.97 online). This “super potassium snack” has about 170 calories per serving, and 16 grams of non-refined sugar. I’d say that’s a pretty good way to get your sugar fix without cancelling out all the hard work you put into your morning run.
One of the biggest perks about these Barnana Banana Bites is that they’re pretty guilt free. These bites are a good source of potassium, fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants. But that’s not to say you feel like you’re eating a piece of cardboard when you bite into them. They’re soft, chewy, and absolutely flavorful. My sweet tooth was sufficiently satisfied, without the guilt trip that usually comes with such a chocolaty break from health-consciousness.
And for those that aren’t chocolate fans, Barnana also offers their Original Chewy Banana Bites, which feature raw, dehydrated, bite-sized bananas.
If you’re looking for a snack that makes you feel just as good after you eat it as you did when you were eating it, Barnana’s Chocolate Banana Bites might be the solution to your snacking woes.
