Escape winter and spend six jam-packed days from March 5-10 living and breathing triathlon. Cliff English will be holding the CAL U/ CEC MILE MADNESS camp alongside friend and veteran triathlon coach Paul Cross and guest Olympic run coach Bobby McGee. You will have direct access to coaches Cliff English, Paul Cross and Bobby McGee all week. This camp is the perfect balance of learning, technical work and training that will set you well on your way to a great 2012 season.

Coaches Cliff and Paul collectively have been coaching camps for 12 years in sunny Tucson and have a tremendous knowledge of the city of Tucson and all of its great training venues. Moreover, the camp is perfectly timed for those competing at early season races such as Ironman St. George, Ironman California 70.3, Ironman Texas 70.3, Ironman Coeur D’Alene, Ironman New Orleans 70.3, Ironman Florida 70.3, Ironman Hawaii 70.3 and many more.

The mission of this camp is simply to get in a great week of training volume in the early season under the guidance of some of the world’s best triathlon coaches. The camps will take intermediate and advanced level long course triathletes on a six day spring training camp with an emphasis on big volume in swimming, biking and running. Sessions will be tailored for individuals and every session will have a low athlete to coach ratio.

Some of the camp highlights include riding the 26-mile climb up to the infamous Mt. Lemmon summit (above), Madera Canyon, epic trail runs at Sabino canyon and the East Saguaro national park as well as plenty of swims under the Tucson sun. The camp also includes fully supported bike rides with a SAG vehicle, talks from the coaches, technical sessions and analysis and training with pro triathletes such as TJ Tollakson.

Other perks include sport nutrition provided by Powerbar, swag from Zoot sports and demo bikes from swift carbon (www.swiftcarbon.com). For more information please visit www.cliffenglishcoaching.com. Special thanks to camp presenting sponsor Cal U. Stay posted for the dates of the Cal U Hilton head Triathlon camp in May 2012.
