Celebrating it’s 25th year in BIG fashion, this year’s Boulder Peak Triathlon will be rewarding its athletes with $25,000. Partnering with Life Time Fitness and IRONMAN’s #CommitToTri initiative, Colorado will be home to this year’s $25,000 Relay Challenge—taking place on July 10—in a push to unite both the nation’s finest triathletes along with novice athletes in a mix described as the “Fastest Pros” versus the “Regular Joes”.

“We’ve been working on something BIG in celebration of Boulder Peak’s 25th annual event. After many weeks of planning, we are finally ready to go,” expressed Scott Hutmacher, newest face of Life Time Fitness and one-time Regular Joe. “We’re also working to recruit new single-sport participants in the event. This will be pretty cool.”

The big prize to be sought after is indubitably the $25,000. This colossal relay purse will be distributed to the top three female and top three male relay teams at the Boulder Peak Triathlon’s International distance course. The denominations will be set correspondingly:

  • 1st Place: $8,000 (both male and female teams)
  • 2nd Place: $3,000
  • 3rd Place: $1,500

The Boulder Peak Triathlon, however, will also be providing all participants with a chance to win a myriad of awards and prizes.

Only the first 25 men and first 25 women to register will be allowed to compete. Visit boulderpeaktri.com and follow the 25K-Relay instructions if you wish to register. The $25K Relay Team competition registration will close Monday, July 4 at 11:59 PM local time.
