Consuela “Sway” Lively is on a quest to complete five Ultraman events in one year to raise money for Girls on the Run. Now a coach, Sway transitioned smoothly into competitive triathlons and endurance sports after spending time first as an avid cyclist. By earning her USAT All American status in 2008 and 2009, qualifying for the Boston Marathon, and finishing on the podium in her last three Ironman distance triathlons, Coach Sway is one of the top competitive age group triathletes in the nation.

Multimedia journalist Brook Pifer followed Sway to the recent Ultraman World Championships in Hawaii to document her participation in the three-day stage race covering 320 miles. In addition to these images, she also produced a video, she took many images of the adventure, capturing the teamwork and sheer force of will required to complete such an event. You can watch Pifer’s original video on her Vimeo page.

Pifer is an award-winning photographer whose love of portrait enables her to capture moments filled with determination and introspection. She works with advertising and entertainment clients such as MTV, AIGA, BVK, Atlantic Records, Saiphs Sports Apparel and mix1. Editorial assignments have enabled Brook to work with celebrities including Akon, Sean Kingston, Christian Siriano, Go Radio and The Maine. Her work as both a photographer and director has garnered recognition from Billboard Magazine as well as PDN/Photo District News.

Despite the full work plate, Brook makes time for personal projects such as Portraits For Food, an annual event benefitting Second Harvest Food Bank. Avid cyclist, triathlete and dedicated yogi, she shares this delicious life with her husband and pug dog. Check out her porfolio at www.brookpifer.com
